What to expect in ​the
first session

You contacted a therapist, and she called you back and scheduled your first appointment. As the day gets closer, your stomach starts to hurt and your heart rate increased, "what did I get myself into?" You become curious thinking if this professional can really help you as you really wanted to call a few months ago. You go for it!

I will send you over the intake paperwork for you to complete at home prior to the first appointment.

We will meet virtually using a google meet link. I will send you over a link and will meet a little less than an hour long.

We will start from what I already know and I will skim through your intake paperwork. The intake paperwork is a starting point where I may ask a few questions to get more details. I will follow-up from our phone call or emails from what I have already learned. We will build our relationship.

At the end of the session we will schedule the next appointment if we find we are a good fit. Therapy can be uncomfortable at times, and it's best to feel comfortable with your therapist.
