Can a therapist outside Florida see me online?
Yes. Florida allows therapists licensed in another state to provide telehealth to people in Florida once they register with the Florida Department of Health.
I’m licensed in North Carolina and registered in Florida as an out-of-state telehealth provider (Registration #TPMC7517). Here’s what that means for you:
-
All sessions are online. I don’t have a Florida office or see Florida clients in person.
-
You need to be physically located in Florida during each session.
-
I’m accountable to the Florida Department of Health for the care I provide to Florida clients.
What we can work on together
If you’re the one everyone relies on, at work and at home, and you’re running on empty, therapy can help you stay connected to yourself without losing your drive.
If you’re considering becoming a mother on your own, already in fertility treatment, or parenting solo, you don’t have to sort through it alone.
If emotions tend to spike faster than you can catch them, DBT gives you practical skills to slow things down.
My virtual SMBC support groups are also open to adults in Florida.

A little about me
I’m Carrie Meckler, LCMHC-S, LCAS. I’ve been a therapist for over 15 years, and I’m a Single Mother by Choice myself. I know what it’s like to make a big decision with no guarantees, and I bring that understanding into every session.
My sessions are structured and practical, drawing on DBT, CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing.

Do I need to be in Florida for sessions?
Yes. Through my Florida telehealth registration, I can see clients who are physically located in Florida during each session. I also see clients in North Carolina, where I’m licensed.
If You Need More Support
If you need a higher level of care than weekly therapy, I can help you think through options, including intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs.
If you’re in immediate danger, call or text 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
